I started mattdetails.com on March 1st, 2006. I came up with the name by taking my name and trying to figure out what else I like to do. I like details, I strive for creating simple details. I'm also not that great at creating names. I moved my blog from mjdesignz.net (2003) to nowforevermine.com (2004-2005) to what is now mattdetails.com.

The majority of my life was spent in a small town (of 1200 population) in Northern Wisconsin (Frederic, which I'm sure you haven't heard of). After I was determined to be independent, and found my exit - I made my way to Chicago - at least near it - about 30 minutes northwest of Chicago. There I took up some local opportunities to be a designer for various companies/projects. Meanwhile I still worked as a freelance designer for my own name - Wicked Simple. Yeah, I know. I personally think it fits my style, but many people think that it is an evil name.

I'm currently working as a UI Designer at WeGame Inc.
