CSS Naked Day: Recap

The reactions to CSS Naked Day seemed to have been a mix set of emotions.  But I think I was more surprised than anybody else visiting my site.  After a couple of minutes tying up a few loose ends (flickr badge using & symbol, and some other minor things) my markup is surprisingly semantic and valid.  I guess I’ve been using the same template for awhile now, adapting from some of the best, and reading a couple of the better books on the subject also helped.  It’s reassuring to know that if somebody chooses not to view my site using css - that everything is still pretty accessible and readable, not to mention functional.

At anyrate, expect to see the event reoccur for years to come.

CSS Naked Day

37Signals Love/Hate relationship

No this is NOT an anti-37Signals post.  Nor is this is a gloat of their talent (they are talented though), and this is not an attempt to gain unnecessary attention from them either.  This is purely a random rant of ventilation.  If you actually read the comments on their Signal vs Noise blog or the forums you’ll sometimes see some people whine about how the 37S products are too simple, or that they don’t listen or that they’ve offered a half-ass solution to a problem.

All I really have to say is - make something better then. (this of course, by nature is subjective)
